Hanna Park Beaches and Splash Park – Located north of Atlantic Beach this city park offers multiple water options to cool down with. The beaches feature the cool waters of the Atlantic Ocean with available pavillions for shade and restrooms. In the middle of the park is a splash park that kids will love that offers plenty of shaded seating too. There are even kayak and canoe rentals if you are looking for a leisurely paddle on Hanna’s lake. Entrance fee is $5 per car.

Jacksonville Zoo Splash Park – Included with the price of admission to the zoo allows access to a kids splash park. With zoo themed animal water sprayers this area is a favorite for kids to take a break and cool down during a fund day at the zoo. Restrooms are available for changing.

St. Mary’s Aquatic Center – Are you looking for a spot off the beaten path or a day trip for the family to cool down? Look no further than this fun aquatics center in St. Marys that includes a full size lap pool, lazy river, splash park and more!

Jacksonville Beaches – One of the benefits of living next to the ocean is obviously going to the beach whenever you want! Make a full day out of the trip and be sure to bring the sunscreen.

Adventure Landing – Always a family favorite in Jax Beach this Duval institution signals the beginning of summer when its water rides and lazy river open. Fun rides and tons of space make this water park a great option for a little thrill ride while you cool off.

Florida Springs – If you really want to cool down visit one of Florida’s numerous springs. With water continually running a chilly 70 degrees year round the time to go to the springs is in the middle of summer when the heat is really getting to you. Many springs are located in parks both public and private. Pick a location with a fun adventure such as tubing or just go for a quick dip.
